YOGA FOR YOUR HEALTHY LOWER BACK
Tuesday evening, St Andrews United Reform Church, Bridle Road, Eastcote, HA5 2SH
This therapeutic class is designed for people with lower back pain which stops you from enjoying your everyday activities. The sequences taught which have been approved by the British Wheel of Yoga and the Iyengar Yoga Association (UK) will offer you a gentle and controlled approach to managing your back pain and improving the health of your spine and your overall wellbeing. The yoga exercises are designed to be helpful both in preventing and in healing lower back pain; to gently stretch and strengthen the muscles in the hips, back, and legs; to improve muscle tone in the abdomen, which supports the lower back; to stretch and strengthen both sides of the body equally and keep your lower back flexible and comfortable so you can continue doing the things you love! You will learn to control your pain, rather than let it control you.
The programme is based on the trial organised by the University of York on Yoga for Lower Back Pain.
